ANDRAX-NG for Android: rooted-device preparation
ANDRAX-NG Portable is an Android security-testing environment. Its base installation depends on root access and platform requirements, not a handset appearing on the Full NetHunter kernel list.
Portable and Desktop are different choices
The project documents Portable for Android and ARM64 boards, and Desktop for PCs. Its Portable requirements include ARM64 (armv8/aarch64), 2 GB RAM, 30 GB free space and root access on Android. These are project requirements, not a claim that every retail handset can be unlocked or prepared.
Rooting is part of the preparation
Our £99 service covers an eligible device you already own, including agreed rooting and ANDRAX-NG preparation. Provide the exact model and Android version so we can check unlock eligibility, architecture and available storage. A handset is not included. We agree the release and configuration before starting; if the agreed eligible setup cannot be prepared, the service is refunded.
Choose the app first, then the peripherals
For command-line and local lab work, start with the app environment and the resources it needs. If your plan includes external radios or specialised USB functions, list those separately: successful app installation does not establish support for every adapter or kernel feature.
Keep a clear software record
Record the installed release, source, Android build and recovery route with your equipment notes. The project recommends obtaining its packages from its official source. Before preparation, back up any data you need and remove material that is unrelated to the service.
