PENT.SHOP BUYING GUIDE / UPDATED 14 SEPTEMBER 2026
What is ANDRAX-NG? Android tools and preparation
ANDRAX-NG turns an eligible Android device into a Linux security workstation. Its toolkit covers network discovery, web testing, password auditing and software analysis, with Dragon Terminal at the centre of the workflow.
What ANDRAX lets you do
ANDRAX-NG is a Debian-based security platform. Its published tool catalogue includes Nmap for network discovery, Nuclei for web checks, and analysis tools such as apktool and Frida. These support different stages of an authorised assessment; an installed tool does not automatically complete the assessment or interpret its results.
Think of it as a portable workbench. You choose a tool, supply the relevant inputs, inspect the result and decide what to investigate next. That suits users who want a broad tool environment and are comfortable working in a terminal.
How it feels on an Android phone
The Android app manages the environment. Dragon Terminal is where you run commands, while the D.C.O. launcher organises tools into categories. The project also documents CodeHACK, a prototype code editor, and VNC access for graphical tools. See the official Android interface guide.
Before choosing a handset, decide whether you will type primarily on its screen or use an external keyboard. Include enough working space for your own projects and saved results, as well as the installed software.
Choose a prepared phone or use your own
Choose an eligible model from our supplied rooted phone range and select ANDRAX-NG at configuration. The selected price includes the handset, rooting and one platform preparation. Our separate £99 own-device service prepares a phone you already have and does not include a handset.
We agree the release and intended functions before preparation. If the agreed eligible configuration cannot be prepared, the service is refunded. See the ANDRAX storage planning article before selecting capacity.

- Google Pixel 7 — 128GB · Preloved · Obsidian; £288.00 including the handset and selected platform preparation.
The requirements behind the setup
The project lists ARM64, root access on Android, at least 2 GB RAM and 30 GB of free storage for Portable. Free storage means space remaining after Android and existing files. The PC Desktop edition has different requirements. Unlock eligibility and the installed Android environment are checked for the actual handset.
External wireless adapters and specialised USB functions also depend on drivers, power and kernel support. Describe any required peripheral in the order brief so it can be included in the agreed configuration.
